Katrina is from London where she gained a degree in Performance Art and worked in fringe and queer theatre for several years, before moving into journalism in 1997. She held positions of senior reporter and features writer at various magazines in areas ranging from human resources to social housing, before going freelance and contributing regularly to Diva, the UK’s national lesbian magazine. Katrina moved to Sydney in 2001. Since then she has worked as the sub-editor for B&T, the weekly magazine for the advertising, marketing and media industries and written for the GLBTIQ media, starting with her column in SX, ‘Keeping Abreast’ in 2003. Katrina’s work has appeared in a number of publications worldwide, including Time Out London, Nexus, New Vegetarian & Natural Health, Yen, and Curve, the US’s national lesbian magazine, and she is the editor of several books on sex and gender diversity. Katrina is a vegan and passionate animal rights advocate who enjoys combining a sense of high-camp glamour with ethical, cruelty-free living.
