Shannon began her career not knowing what she wanted to do, so she started out doing Fine Arts and photography (safe and fun). Then while getting into digital photography she decided one wasn’t enough so she began her second degree in Digital Media. Here her enjoyment in all thing digital grew and in her final honours year she got a job with her first GLTBIQ publication. She has been in publishing since 2000 but in the meantime found time to do AWARD School. She had a short stint as an Art Director at an ad agency and couldn’t wait to leave. Then Evolution Publishing came knocking. At Evolution Shannon started working on MCV and at this time she already knew she wanted to start a girls' mag. So when the guys said they were thinking about it, she said 'We can do it! ' And the Cherrie baby became more than just a twinkle in her eyes…
