UPSTARTS IN THE HOUSE
Upstart Alley in Melbourne returns, once again mixing it up cabaret
style with a range of performances including dirty shenanigans from
Sydney-based superhost Wife, racy rhymes form Melbourne’s very own
‘femcee’ Pash and readings and words from Bryan Andy, Jaun Lamas from
Sydney and Maria Zajkowski. The Transylvanian Gypsy Kings will rock the
house and DJs Toupee and Kapitolina will spin the tunes at this
not-for-profit grassroots genderqueer event. What: Upstart Alley. When:

SYDNEY’S FUTURE
Sustainable Sydney 2030 is a long-term plan to help guide the
development of Sydney over the next 22 years and beyond. It is the
result of the most comprehensive community consultation program ever
undertaken by the City, involving tens of thousands of people during
the past 12 months. People told the City that they want a city that is
sustainable: environmentally, economically, socially, and culturally.

TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL
Hailed as the most ambitious American play of our time, Tony Kushner’s
Angels in America – Part One: Millennium Approaches seamlessly blends

KING FOR A NIGHT
King Victoria in Melbourne is a hub of “kings, queens, femmes,
transqueers, bio men, live musicians and even aliens!” according to
organiser Bumpy. Now the drag king and performance night has moved to a
new venue, the revamped Glasshouse Hotel. Previous guest performers
have included Del la Grace Volcano and Judith Halberstam, alongside

BADA BING IS ONE
Popular girls hip hop night Bada Bing invites you “bring on the bling”
and join them for their first birthday celebrations that will include a
live performance every hour on the hour from 10pm sharp. The all-star
cast of Rosa & co, Bada Bing dance crew, vocalist Charmaine, MC
Nads and the new crew will deliver a massive birthday production show
