OTHER WORLDS

p42_nettrollabduction_250.jpg
Have you seen a UFO or been abducted by aliens? If so, you’re not alone. Join over 6000 people like you on the I Was Abducted website. Enjoy stories – like the one by Paul Schroeder called ‘Alarm Clock Demons’. “I open my eyes and turn to see the digital alarm clock, sitting on the lamp table next to my bed and see 12:12, and1:11 am, 2:22 am and 3:33 am and 4:44 am. This distresses me so badly, upon awakening, that I cannot think; just a wave of panic that SOMETHING is awaking me, as the calculated odds of awakening each night precisely at those specific times is astronomically impossible,” Schroeder writes before launching into his travels into the world of “monsters and beasties”. The truth is definitely ‘out there’.

HEADS OFF

p42_nettroll_headless-550.jpg Some of us hated dolls as kids and took great pleasure in pulling off their heads. Now we can revisit our macabre childhood activity with Headless Historicals – reworked dolls that were inspired by people throughout history who died in rather horrible ways. Each doll is dressed according to how they might have appeared during the peak of their success, while their bodies display the manner in which they died. HH also offers a custom doll service where we can create a historically-dressed victim in the likeness of your choosing. Definitely for the more gruesome among you – and not intended as playthings for kids (unless you are the parent of a Wednesday Addams-inspired child of course!).

IT SNOT GOOD

p42_nettrollnosepick_550.jpg We all do it – some of us privately, others in public. We’re talking nose-picking! Now there’s a website which offers all you wanted to know about nose-picking, but were afraid to ask. Find out the differences between innocent nose-picking, compulsive nose-picking and harmful nose-picking. Learn how to do it correctly and safely: keep fingernails short and do not eat your snot. If you don’t have a tissue to hand, simply roll it up and throw it away. Oh and there’s a helpful list of objects not to stick up your snout to pick it with – stay away from straightened-out paper clips for example, and knives, forks, broken glass or screwdrivers. The ENT specialists have seen them all and how they stay sane is anyone’s guess!
