Re ‘Queering Desire’ (#009): There was a big discussion in the
Perth lesbian scene recently with an event that was ‘Playboy Mansion’
themed. There was an uproar all in all, however I like to draw point to
the Spice Girl phenomenon. That is, you can appreciate whilst not
desire. You cannot deny that the Spice Girls are very talented and
brilliant at what they do, however, I don’t like them or their music.
Similarly you can appreciate and admire without attraction.
