The Grates
Teeth Lost, Hearts Won
Dew Process
The Grates return with an older, wiser and, if you can believe it, funnier album.
The album continues the exploration into the musical madness of the three BrisVegas residents.
Yet amid the wackiness, the band’s second album offers a more mellow insight into the evolution of the its sound.
The Grates’ newie scores two (actually make that four) giant oversized plastic thumbs up.

Ministry Of Sound
Clubber’s Guide Spring 2008
Ministry Of Sound
There's always a risk when purchasing these ‘guides’.
The risk that you might only enjoy one of two songs is usually high on my list.
But then again, these albums are just too hard to resist.
In the case of the Clubber’s Guide Spring 2008, this double album is one not to miss.
DJ, spin that wheel!

Brett Dennen
So Much More
Downtown/Inertia
Brett Dennen has a soft voice that speaks big words.
The politically motivated US folk singer’s vocals are awash with worries beyond his young years.
Accompanied by sweet acoustic melodies, So Much More is simply a delight.
Brett Dennen should not be overlooked.
Hear it, buy it, own it.

Van She
V
Modular
V spins you into a merry haze of electronic wonderment.
Like a dog chasing its tail, the album is full of movement, excitement and the high chance of becoming dizzy.
The best part about V is that it’s not overly polished. It’s free form offers a new journey with each listen.
V is truly sublime.
