p35_entertainment_dvd_1-250.jpgHallam Foe Jamie Bell, Sophia Myles

The star of 2000’s Billy Elliott (Bell) has grown up and pulls off a solid performance as a teenage peeping tom who spies on people from the rooftops of Edinburgh, having left home suspecting his stepmother may have had a hand in his mum’s death. A hard film to categorise but it’s interesting.

A story of the love between two women – Jeanne, a successful osteopath with a husband and child, and dance teacher Marie – the latter played by Anderson, who starred in the controversial 1999 movie Baise Moi. This enjoyable film’s a bit like a French Desert Hearts.

These later seasons are also a must for gay gals, with the increased focus on lesbians – including model and Angelina’s former lover Jenny Shimizu and Thea Gill who’s been praised for her performance as Diana Childs.

p35_entertainment_dvd_4-100.jpgTick Tock Lullaby Sarah Patterson, Raquel Cassidy

If you’re a dyke with a baby or one who’s looking to have kids, this might be a fun movie for you. Sasha and her partner Maya yearn to have a baby the ‘natural’ way and are envious of straight couples who they assume have it easier … which isn’t necessarily the case.
