p41_entertainment_dvd_image.jpgAmazing Grace Ioan Gruffudd, Romola Garai 3 thumbs up

The true story of 18th century British abolitionist William Wilberforce and his fight to end slavery. The film has less of a focus on the slaves and more on the politicians who were prepared to risk their reputations to bring this unsavoury ‘tradition’ to an end. Strong performances from the lead actors make this costume drama compelling.
