DJ Sandi Hotrod tells us what’s hot about Inquisition, Sydney Leather Pride Association’s annual kink party.
I believe that Inquisition is important to the kink/fetish community because it brings all the different fetish and kink groups together, and for that night they all party together as one: expressing, learning and just going off. What’s particularly special about it is the sense of fetish freedom and safety to be or look however you feel – if that means your Mistress is leading you around by your clit ring attached to a long chain or in a full latex cat suit.
I’m opening The Dome and for me, this is one of my dreams as a DJ. The Dome has a reputation of always having the best vibe, the best music, as it’s nice and dark and dirty (if that’s what you’re into). The music that I will be playing in The Dome, I like to describe as ‘Throw me against the wall and fuck me harder’ music!
It’s a mash of Tribal, Electro and Underground House with that beautiful full dirty bass beat that you just can’t help bumping and grinding to. Vocals are a big part of my music as well. This year we have three girls playing in the Dome: me, Feisty and Mandy Rollins. I believe this is the first time that females have dominated the line-up in the Dome – it’s the Power of the Pussy!
Inquisition is a chance to explore your kinky side and know that nobody is going to judge you. In the past few weeks I have had quite a few calls with people saying, “I have never been to an Inquisition, do you think I would enjoy it? What should I wear? Leather scares me.”
The fetish community, I believe, is one of the most accepting and non-judgmental groups of sexy people that you will ever come across. Sure, you will see some bears with not much on, and lots of leather and latex, but what the hell! Just have fun and let go. The event is called The Pleasure Dome for a reason.
Inquisition XVI: Saturday 7 June, 10pm-8am, Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park. $85-$120.
